Abstract Call Opens: 11/11/2024

Please note there will be no extensions to the submission deadline, and late submissions will not be accepted.

You can submit abstracts for a poster, oral or workshop.

The themes for submission are:

  • * Chronic Disease in Vulnerable Populations
  • * Cultural Competence in Healthcare
  • * Healthcare Access and Advocacy
  • * Healthcare Professional Education and Development
  • * Innovations in Healthcare Policy and Delivery
  • * Mental Health and Substance Dependency
  • * Pharmacoeconomics
  • * Pharmacoepidemiology Research
  • * Pharmacy-led Health Interventions

 

As well as welcoming abstracts on research topics exploring diverse populations, we also welcome abstract submissions and workshop proposals from researchers who themselves may be from diverse and un/underrepresented communities, such as, but not limited to: women; sexual and gender minorities; global majority ethnicities; indigenous peoples; persons with disabilities; and those from low-income countries.

Publication in Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy

This internationally renowned journal publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed content in health services research specifically as it relates to the medication use process.

Successful abstracts for oral and poster presentations will be published in RSAP.

           

Guidelines for Completing an Abstract for Oral or Poster Presentation

Abstracts can be submitted for presentation as a poster or oral presentation. You may choose ‘either’ if you have no preference for presentation format. Abstract assessors will decide on the most appropriate form of presentation. If an abstract is accepted, at least one author must register for the conference by the early bird deadline. Failure to register by the deadline will result in the abstract being omitted from the RSAP publication.

Information required is:

  • * Author information: name, title, name of organisation / institution, address/country, contact telephone number, email address, position (e.g. PhD student, post-doc, academic)
  • * Presenting author biography: you have the option to include a short biography of the presenting author of up to 100 words
  • * Title: 50 words maximum
  • * Abstract body: 300 words maximum (this does not include the title)
  • * The abstract must follow the structure: Introduction, Aims/Objectives, Methods, Results, Discussion/Conclusion
  •    NB this abstract detail will be displayed in its entirety in the online programme - please do not add notes/comments to the Committee or any author information within this section.

 

Guidelines for Completing a Proposal for Workshop Session

You can submit a proposal for a 90-minute workshop session.

Information required is:

  • * Workshop host information: name, title, name of organisation / institution, address/country, contact telephone number, email address, position (e.g. PhD student, post-doc, academic).
  •   You may have up to 3 workshop hosts.
  • * Workshop lead biography: you have the option to include a short biography of the presenting author of up to 100 words
  • * Title: 50 words maximum
  • * Proposal body: 300 words maximum (this does not include the title or resource requests)
  • * The proposal must follow the structure: Introduction, Aim, Target Audience, Description
  •    NB this proposal detail will be displayed in its entirety in the online programme - please do not add notes/comments to the Committee or any author information within this section.

 

Previously published abstracts

Accepted abstracts will be published in Research in Social Administrative Pharmacy (RSAP). To avoid copyright infringement, please do not submit abstracts that have been published elsewhere.

After Submission: Review and Judging Process

Your abstract will undergo blind review and will be judged by at least two reviewers. You will be informed of the outcome late April 2025.   

 

Registering to attend the conference

All presenters are required to register to attend the conference by 30th of May 2025.
